The Owners of the Land is a video installation by Peter Snowdon and Juan Javier Rivera Andia, whose anthropological archive from Lambayeque (Peruvian Andes) is the basis for the project. What happens when a mining company discovers valuable resources on the land of an indigenous village? Are indigenous ways of life relevant in the face of economic interests? And does the work of preserving culture delay its destruction, or participate in it?
