Henk van der Ploeg, born in 1944. Ph.D. from the University of Amsterdam. Associate Professor of Medical Psychology at Leiden University.

My research-work concentrated on the ‘Stress and medicine’ project, paying special attention to anxiety and the medical situation. Furthermore, I finalized a book describing research in The Netherlands on the long-term after-effects of being held hostage and continued my work on the premenstrual syndrome and its related variables.
