NFA Day 2014

Art historian Gary Schwartz will reveal how Vermeer and his generation stole the thunder of the Golden Age, at NIAS's annual alumni event on 23 June 2014.

NFA Day 2014


Former NIAS Fellows will be revisiting NIAS on the annual NIAS Fellows Association Day on 23 June 2014. The highlight of the day will be the Uhlenbeck Lecture, named after NIAS' founder. NIAS and the NFA Board take great pleasure in announcing that Gary Schwartz, Founding Director of CODART (Curators of Dutch and Flemish Art), and Fellow in 2009/10, will deliver the 32nd Uhlenbeck Lecture, entitled "How Vermeer and His Generation Stole the Thunder of the Golden Age".

The General Meeting and Uhlenbeck Lecture will take place at the NIAS Conference Building.

About the NFA

The NIAS Fellows Association, NFA, is the alumni organisation of NIAS. It aims to promote "the optimum functioning of NIAS for the benefit of past, present, and future Fellows at NIAS, and the bonds between all those who have been associated with NIAS". The association was founded in 1977.
